ACRL SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

We felt like booth 106 was the place to be at the ACRL show in Philadelphia. Not only did we see lots of new and familiar faces stop by our booth, but those faces were filled with amazement and excitement for the ScanPro 2000’s new software update.
All controls have been designed to have the look and feel of typical Windows programs and our goal has been to continue to provide an interface that is the easiest to use and involves the shortest possible learning curve on the part of patrons.

“Our new ScanPro 2000 makes it easy to use microfilm. The software has so many powerful features.." -Michael Krasulski, Assistant Professor, Information Science, University of the Sciences, Philadelphia
New Software Features for the ScanPro 2000.
“The software looks and operates like cutting edge web environment programs. It has instant user appeal,” says Karen Oye, Case Western Reserve University. Show attendees seemed to agree, and were very enthusiastic about the SPOT-Edit feature, custom cropping, film selection wizard, customizable toolbar tabs, and customizable text labels. One lucky unit even got a hug from a satisfied customer!

“We love our new ScanPro 2000, it makes it easy to work with all of our microfilm." –Heather Williamson, -Director of Libraries, Maner Memorial Library, Cisco Library, TX
The most talked about feature was "SPOT-Edit". You can select areas on the image that you are viewing like pictures that are too dark or text that is too light and automatically or manually adjust the brightness and contrast to get the best image. You can adjust as many areas as needed including erase and redact. And, with a single click of a button you send your image directly to USB, printer, hard drive, e-mail, etc. No multiple steps and it take less than a second. No other equipment can do this.
