ALA SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

When you live in the midwest and it is January, going to the ALA midwinter in sunny San Diego where the temperature is 70 degrees was a real treat! We heard that more than once.
We want to thank the many returning customers and interested new customers that stopped at our booth to see what was new. It was a great opportunity to show the latest software features that we have added to the ScanPro 2000 to make it even easier and more efficient for working with microforms.

“There are so many great things to say about this equipment.” –Karen Oye, Case Western Reserve University.
New Capabilities for the ScanPro 2000.
It was fun watching the looks on people’s faces when they saw the new features and new capabilities, like tabs for organizing the commonly used buttons, the “film selection wizard” that automatically sets up the scanner for any film application, text labels for all buttons that can be customized by the user, and more. These new features are being released to our ScanPro 2000 customers mid February and, of course, all updates are provided at no charge.
Amy Badertscher, Director of Library Services, Kenyon College Libraries, commented "the ScanPro 2000 is so easy to use and has so many feature benefits for library use".

“Insanely great product.” –Rosalind Tedford, Wake Forest University
The most talked about feature was "SPOT-Edit". You can select areas on the image that you are viewing like pictures that are too dark or text that is too light and automatically or manually adjust the brightness and contrast to get the best image. You can adjust as many areas as needed including erase and redact. And, with a single click of a button you send your image directly to whatever output you select, USB, printer, hard drive, e-mail, etc. No multiple steps and it take less than a second. No other equipment can do this.
