SLA SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

Greetings from New Orleans! The Big Easy was hot and rainy during the SLA Annual Conference and INFO-EXPO, but there were some pretty cool things happening at e-Image Data’s booth. Most of the people who attend a conference like this are on the prowl for new and exciting technology, and the people who came to see the ScanPro® 2000

“We have seven ScanPro 2000s. They are simply the best for working with microfilm. The new WORD-Search option is unbelievable. It will revolutionize the way you work with microfilm” -Trip Wyckoff, Florida State University
found what they were looking for! We gave demonstrations of the unit’s new WORD-Search technology, which allows users to search for keywords within their on-screen documents. Information Services Specialist Lorraine Moneypenny told us that her current unit from another manufacturer was on its last legs and that she wished she could take a hammer to it so she could help it into the next life and purchase a ScanPro 2000 as a replacement. Lorraine, don’t be surprised to find a hammer in your mailbox sometime soon! As we noted, everyone is searching for something new at SLA, which is why we consider it a huge compliment when our customers take time out of their search to stop by and tell us how happy they are with the ScanPro 2000s they have purchased from us. Librarian Beth Wagner said that after installing their new ScanPro 2000, it worked so much faster than she expected, she thought there might be something wrong. (There wasn’t. It’s just that fast!) Rhonda McGinnis from Wayne State University also paid us a visit to tell us they have several ScanPro 2000s and are very happy with them. And lest you think that the ScanPro 2000 is only popular with library staff, our banquet waiter, Daniel Tailleur, told us that he had worked with microfilm in the past and considered the ScanPro 2000 great time-saving technology. Thanks, everyone, for your positive feedback and your time!
